About the role

  • Serve as the main point of contact for all customer account management matters
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships with existing as well as new customers
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profit and growth
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
  • Ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Communicate progress of initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop new business with existing clients and identify areas for improvement to meet sales quotas
  • Forecast and track key account metrics and prepare reports on account status
  • Collaborate with other sales teams to identify and grow opportunities within your customer set
  • Manage challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
  • Lead one or more existing accounts and generate new opportunities, expanding scopes and capabilities
  • Build go-to-market pipeline with partners to pursue new deals
  • Own account P&L, drive customer satisfaction, and ensure account compliance

Requirements

  • Proven work experience (2+ years) in account management or a relevant role
  • Ability to communicate, present, and influence key stakeholders at all levels, including executive and C-level
  • Experience with CRM software and Microsoft 365
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and demands while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills in a complex matrix with clients, external and internal partners, as well as cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of business and technology trends and industry best practices, especially within IT
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • BA/BS or MA/MS degree in IT, Business Administration, Sales, or a relevant field
  • Preferred: Consultative selling experience in technical solutions
  • Preferred: Relationship management experience
  • Preferred: Subject matter expertise in 1+ areas (e.g. Cloud, Network, Cybersecurity, AI)
  • Preferred: Cross-functional team management experience
