About the role
- Lead Gas Turbine Project Engineer providing technical direction and project management at GE Gas Power. Collaborating across multiple teams and ensuring compliance with contract requirements for turbine projects.
Responsibilities
- Provide input and make decisions that influence major technical and financial outcomes for GEV and customer representatives
- Provide technical project management, technical direction, and drive coordination of engineering activities
- Act as the technical liaison for Customer and Engineering, Procurement, and Construction representatives
- Conduct Customer Kick-Off Meetings (CKOMs) and/or Design Liaison Meetings (DLMs)
- Review contract documentation and communicate project requirements to design functions
- Evaluate the financial/schedule impacts of customer-requested scope changes
- Support resolution of cross-functional design complexities and technical issues
- Managing the Engineering Budget and providing quarterly Estimate at Completions (EACs) to Finance
- Provide technical support to engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, and installation personnel
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university OR a high school diploma/ GED with 5 years of relevant experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Project Engineering, Design Engineering, and/or Field Engineering related to Gas Turbine Projects
- Ability and willingness to travel, as required ~10%
- Ability and willingness to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Leadership-quality communication skills, both verbal and written
