About the role
- Lead the design and delivery of complex ML and GenAI systems, ensuring solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with business goals
- Guide the team in end-to-end model development from experimentation and evaluation through deployment and monitoring, focusing on reproducibility and reliability
- Drive architectural decisions for data-intensive, AI-driven applications, balancing cutting-edge approaches and production readiness
- Mentor and grow engineers across levels, sharing best practices in software engineering, ML/AI, and cloud infrastructure
- Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders to shape roadmaps, scope projects, and balance technical innovation with delivery
- Champion engineering excellence including coding standards, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and incident management
- Be a visible technical leader pushing adoption of AI/ML across teams and influencing company-wide strategy
- Build large-scale AI powered systems and work alongside researchers and engineers to apply latest techniques
Requirements
- Proven experience leading engineering teams in a high-growth, fast-paced environment
- Experience mentoring engineers, conducting performance reviews, and building inclusive, high-performing teams
- Strong software engineering skills (Python preferred)
- Deep knowledge of AI/ML frameworks and GenAI tooling
- Hands-on experience building and deploying ML/GenAI systems in production (ideally in finance, legal, or similar data-heavy spaces)
- Experience driving architectural decisions for data-intensive AI-driven applications
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
- Familiarity with modern MLOps practices
- Ability to lead architectural discussions and make technical trade-offs
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, startup-style environment and working cross-functionally
