About the role
- Review all court orders and separation agreements and/or other legal documents related to pension division requests
- Serve as the primary contact person for Canada Retirement Operations on marriage breakdown pension division requests
- Provide clear, practical guidance to internal stakeholders regarding legislative requirements
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external parties to support timely and accurate processing
- Draft correspondence to external parties when legal documents do not meet applicable legislative requirements
Requirements
- Law clerk diploma or experience as a seasoned Law Clerk
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; bilingualism in French and English is strongly preferred
- High attention to detail and accuracy, with strong organizational and time-management skills
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply legal standards and instructions with sound judgment
- Excellent ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure to meet deadlines while remaining focused
- Strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills
- Strong client-focus and commitment to quality service and product outcomes
- Proficiency in Office 365, including advanced knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat DC, OneDrive, SharePoint, and other applications
