Responsibilities
Lead and manage landscape architecture projects from conceptual design through to implementation
Translate community engagement and ecological principles into compelling site plans
Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, ensuring all milestones and deliverables are met
Monitor project budgets, optimize resource allocation, and control costs to achieve financial targets
Collaborate with clients, engineers, architects, and internal teams to deliver integrated natural design solutions
Share technical expertise to guide project teams on on-site analysis, grading, planting design, and material selection
Produce high-quality construction documents and detailed technical specifications
Coach and mentor junior designers through all project phases, from concept sketching to technical documentation
Assist in reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and other project documentation for accuracy, compliance, clarity, and completeness
Support redline reviews of construction drawing sets and specifications to ensure clarity, coordination, and constructability
Requirements
Degree in landscape architecture, urban design, or a related field and licensure or eligibility for licensure in North America
6–10 years’ experience in landscape design, with a focus on parks, playgrounds, gardens, streetscapes, and campus master planning
Strong technical skills in grading, planting, construction detailing, and contract documentation
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, ArcGIS, and project management software; hand graphic fluency preferred
A passion for mentoring and developing design talent within a collaborative studio environment
Proven experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, including civil, structural, and environmental consultants
Exceptional project management, communication, and leadership abilities
