About the role

  • Product Manager guiding development teams in agile processes at Blue Ocean Media. Training provided to transition into digital product management roles.

Responsibilities

  • Managing development teams
  • As a Product Manager/Product Owner you will lead your team in Scrum or Kanban processes.
  • You will learn how the regular events Daily, Refinement, Planning, Grooming, Review, and Retrospective work and what is expected of you as a Product Manager.
  • The Product Backlog is the Product Manager/Product Owner’s most important tool.
  • You will learn how to write good User Stories & Epics and how to order them meaningfully in the backlog.
  • Once User Stories have been implemented by developers, they must be tested and deployed to production.
  • You will learn how to perform acceptance testing of software products yourself and how to organize this process.
  • A product needs a medium- to long-term direction.
  • With a Product Vision Statement or the Working Backwards method you describe the ideal product from the customers’ perspective.
  • User-centered software design is central to the success of any digital product.
  • You will learn the basics of usability & UX design and receive tools to develop prototypes and communicate with UX designers.
  • Monitoring and tracking software products and their features enables you to measure your product’s success and detect warning signs of issues.
  • You will learn to define, design and review relevant KPIs and metrics.
