About the role

Responsibilities
- Lead critical pre-planning and system integrator engagement activities for a major Advanced Metering Infrastructure initiative
- Focus on resource planning, technical blueprinting, business process design, and vendor coordination within a complex IT environment
- Facilitate IT business process mapping and requirements gathering to ensure alignment with functional needs, technical delivery, and SI area of responsibility
- Develop a comprehensive resource plan based on technical scope, including roles, skillsets, and effort and cost estimates across workstreams (integration, data, infrastructure, and testing)
- Support the development and refinement of a high-level solution blueprint that defines scope, schedule, and budget from a technical lens
- Plan and coordinate the Planning & Analyze phases, including solution design validation, technical feasibility reviews, and preparation for Build phase activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, computer science, or other business-related discipline (including liberal arts majors)
- Experience with utility technology needs, including strategic objectives and areas of investment focus
- Experience delivering/developing technical information to a non-technical audience as well as to senior leadership
- Experience in corporate strategy, strategic planning or strategy/management consulting
- Experience managing large IT programs, resource planning, solution blueprinting, implementation planning, and overall end-to-end delivery management
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional leadership
- Familiarity with AMI, smart grid, or large Electric Utility technology and infrastructure projects
- Strong blend of business insight and technical proficiency to bridge the gap between stakeholder needs and technological solutions
