IT Manager managing network infrastructure, data security, and compliance for organization. Leading IT team and collaborating with third-party vendors for cloud support.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain the organisation's local network infrastructure
Ensure network connectivity, availability, and performance meet business requirements
Oversee network equipment installations, configurations, and upgrades
Troubleshoot and resolve network issues promptly to minimise downtime
Monitor network traffic and analyse usage patterns to optimise performance
Develop and implement data management policies and procedures
Ensure data integrity, security, and availability
Establish and enforce security policies and procedures to protect network resources
Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with cloud and networking service providers
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the IT team
Requirements
Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT management or a similar role
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft-based networks, including Active Directory, Windows Server, and Exchange
Experience managing a support desk team with 1st and 2nd line roles
Proven ability to lead and motivate a team
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Proficiency in network administration, including LAN/WAN, routing, switching, and wireless technologies
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, such as Microsoft Azure or AWS
Knowledge of data management and backup strategies
Understanding of security best practices, including firewalls, VPNs, and encryption protocols
Experience with compliance and security frameworks, such as Cyber Essentials, GDPR or ISO27001, and their implementation
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
CompTIA Security+ or equivalent security certifications
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent
