About the role

  • IT Manager managing network infrastructure, data security, and compliance for organization. Leading IT team and collaborating with third-party vendors for cloud support.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain the organisation's local network infrastructure
  • Ensure network connectivity, availability, and performance meet business requirements
  • Oversee network equipment installations, configurations, and upgrades
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues promptly to minimise downtime
  • Monitor network traffic and analyse usage patterns to optimise performance
  • Develop and implement data management policies and procedures
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and availability
  • Establish and enforce security policies and procedures to protect network resources
  • Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with cloud and networking service providers
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the IT team

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT management or a similar role
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft-based networks, including Active Directory, Windows Server, and Exchange
  • Experience managing a support desk team with 1st and 2nd line roles
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Proficiency in network administration, including LAN/WAN, routing, switching, and wireless technologies
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, such as Microsoft Azure or AWS
  • Knowledge of data management and backup strategies
  • Understanding of security best practices, including firewalls, VPNs, and encryption protocols
  • Experience with compliance and security frameworks, such as Cyber Essentials, GDPR or ISO27001, and their implementation
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  • CompTIA Security+ or equivalent security certifications
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent
