Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation, filing, and prosecution of patent and trademark applications.
Conduct research on intellectual property rights, including patent and trademark searches.
Manage and maintain intellectual property databases, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Prepare and manage correspondence with external counsel and international intellectual property offices.
Support IP attorneys in litigation matters by gathering and organising relevant information and documents.
Track and meet all deadlines related to patents and trademarks.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in law or a related field
Previous experience (at least 2+ years) in an intellectual property paralegal role
Strong understanding of patent and trademark processes
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in database management and legal research tools
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
Certification from a recognised paralegal association is highly beneficial.
Familiarity with IP docketing software is desired.
