About the role

Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting risk assessments and identifying potential security vulnerabilities in systems and IT processes
- Support the development and maintenance of Information Security policies, IT procedures, and documentation in alignment with industry standards (e.g. NIST)
- Help with IT audit preparations and assist in gathering evidence for internal and external security audits (e.g. SOX, PCI)

- Help in conducting bi-annual user certification processes
- Research emerging trends in Information Security and GRC practices to provide insights for continuous improvement
- Support the team in maintaining documentation and records related to compliance activities
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Strong interest in Information Security, risk management, and compliance frameworks (e.g. ISO, NIST, SOC 1 and 2, GDPR)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze data effectively
- Good communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
