About the role

  • Monitor security alerts, investigate potential incidents, and respond quickly to neutralize threats.
  • Configure, manage, and maintain a range of security tools, including firewalls, antivirus, and EDR systems.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and work with our IT teams to address and fix any security weaknesses.
  • Help identify security gaps, develop plans for new tools and technologies, and train the team on their use.
  • Keep detailed records of security incidents and provide regular reports to management.
  • Stay current with the latest security trends and technologies to strengthen our defenses.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in an IT or cybersecurity role.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple projects under pressure.
  • Solid understanding of network security, including network protocols and hardware configuration.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for documenting incidents and collaborating with the team.
  • Previous experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC).
  • Familiarity with the mortgage industry.
  • Security certifications such as Security+, Pentest+, CYSA+, or SSCP.
