About the role

Responsibilities
- Investigate, develop and design solutions for review to improve overall operating efficiency of the Distribution Centers
- Research, analyze, plan and optimize logistics systems to meet productivity, quality and growth targets.
- Provide technical information, data and/or analysis to DC Operations team members in support of new and improved DC standard operating procedures.
- Assist and collaborate with the rollout of new initiatives with the Distribution Center to ensure a smooth transition and make changes/modifications as necessary.
- Ensure warehouse management system and related hardware meet the needs of operations and is standardized across FCL’s distribution network.
- Plan and manage assigned projects that are centered on optimizing Distribution Centre space utilization to meet forecasted demand and desired Retail service levels.
Requirements
- Have 4+ years of relevant and progressively responsible experience in engineering related to warehousing, transportation and logistics.
- Experience with enterprise resource management (ERM) systems from procurement to implementation and maintenance.
- Have a degree in Engineering (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
- Eligible for registration with the Professional Engineer Association within province of residence.
- Skills in database analysis and manipulation, and working knowledge of AutoCAD.
