About the role

• VP of Engineering leading technical development of Monstro’s AI-native platform. Responsible for driving innovation and building scalable infrastructure for B2B and B2C solutions.

Responsibilities

• Define & Execute Technical Strategy: Own Monstro’s technical roadmap, balancing near-term delivery with long-term scale.
• Ship 0→1 and Beyond: Drive the end-to-end process of taking products from concept to launch, then scaling them into enterprise-grade solutions.
• Lead AI Engineering: Manage, mentor, and grow AI/ML engineers while embedding AI deeply into Monstro’s products.
• Architect Scalable Systems: Build infrastructure that supports integrations, real-time analytics, personalization, and global compliance.
• Build and Scale the Team: Recruit, develop, and retain top engineering talent.
• Drive Engineering Excellence: Establish best practices for documentation, CI/CD pipelines, code quality, testing, and system reliability.
• Champion Agile Execution: Design and run best-in-class sprint rituals, ensuring velocity, adaptability, and alignment across the org.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, design, and data leaders to prioritize features, align execution, and deliver user and business impact.
• Ensure Security & Compliance: Build with trust at the core - meeting global security, privacy, and financial compliance standards.

Requirements

• 12+ years of engineering experience, with 5+ years in leadership, ideally in fintech, AI/ML, or other high-scale industries.
• Proven track record shipping products from 0→1 and scaling into globally reliable platforms.
• Direct experience managing AI/ML engineering teams and building AI-driven products at scale.
• Strong technical expertise in cloud infrastructure, APIs, distributed systems, and modern backend/frontend stacks (e.g., Python, Java, etc.).
• Deep experience with agile methodologies, DevOps, CI/CD, and creating engineering processes that make teams faster.
• Deep understanding of data privacy and security best practices, especially within the financial services industry.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to inspire teams and drive technical vision.
