Responsibilities
- Understand the GS Commercial Lines business products and ensure that the IT portfolio effectively supports and enables these products
- Works with the Global Specialty CIO, extended IT leaders, business, and IT support teams to develop and maintain technical strategies
- Define and govern enterprise architecture standards
- Be a key technical contributor to the GenAI/AI uplift
- Review and guide solution designs
- Responsible for architecture governance of Global Specialty business segments investments
- Prepares and delivers comprehensive communications about IT architectural direction
- Provides enterprise architectural leadership, guidance, and support
- Establish and scale engineering best practices
- Embed DevSecOps principles into the software delivery lifecycle
- Introduce metrics-driven engineering maturity assessments
- Foster engineering communities compliance
- Build a high-performance engineering organization through talent acquisition and mentoring
- Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and technical excellence.
Requirements
- 15+ years in IT
- 10+ years in architecture and engineering leadership roles
- Proven experience in maturing engineering organizations
- Knowledge of Insurance preferably with P&C, Global Specialty insurance
- Expertise in AI/ML, cloud-native applications, microservices, and integration frameworks
- Proficiency in DevSecOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and observability tooling
- Strong understanding of Agile at scale (SAFe or equivalent)
- Demonstrated ability to lead large engineering teams
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and influence across technical and business stakeholders.
