About the role

  • Electrical Engineering Intern assisting in hardware design and testing at Badger Meter. Gaining hands-on experience in electronic hardware for flow measurement and control products.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design of PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assemblies)
  • Support hardware testing, debugging, and failure analysis of electronic circuits and systems
  • Collaborate on engineering test fixture improvements and validation setups
  • Perform data collection and analysis to evaluate hardware performance
  • Participate in design reviews, verification planning, and execution of test protocols

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field (sophomores preferred)
  • Familiarity with digital and analog circuit design
  • Experience with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer
  • Basic understanding of embedded systems and microcontroller-based hardware
  • Hands-on experience with test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers)
