Electrical graduate programme at Ethos Engineering with rotations, hands-on building services design and chartership support
Responsibilities
Collaborate with senior engineers to design and analyse electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, life-safety, and low-voltage systems.
Rotate across groups within the Engineering Studio to gain multidisciplinary project exposure.
Develop expertise in electrical engineering principles and apply them to real-world design challenges.
Prepare accurate technical drawings, reports, and project documentation.
Participate in quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with CIBSE, IEC, BS, IS, and EN standards.
Visit project sites for inspections, installations, and troubleshooting, gaining valuable field exposure.
Contribute to the development of sustainable and energy-efficient electrical solutions.
Engage in technical research to support decision-making and attend structured training sessions, workshops, and CPDs.
Participate in project meetings and client interactions and support project delivery.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Building Services, or a related field.
Strong academic performance in relevant electrical engineering coursework.
Must be based in Ireland and able to attend our Dublin office at least three (3) days per week under our hybrid model.
Previous placement, internship, or project experience in building services is beneficial but not required.
Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit MEP (exposure to BIM modelling is advantageous).
Knowledge of electrical design principles, such as load calculations, power systems, and lighting design.
Awareness of CIBSE, IEC, and Irish building regulations.
Interest in sustainable engineering and low-carbon design.
Proactive mindset with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Eagerness to adapt, learn, and embrace new technologies and engineering tools.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Excellent problem-solving skills and passion for innovation.
