About the role

  • Define the business unit's sales strategy and corresponding action plans in close cooperation with technical product line managers, product marketing, and business development.
  • Develop and manage the sales team and all sales activities on new and existing products.
  • Expand footprint of Electrical Safety Solutions products in existing and new industry sectors and regions.
  • Support product line managers and the marketing department in developing the product economics.
  • Drive sales operations and develop sales strategies in line with approved budgets and BU action plans.
  • Lead promotion, acquisition, and portfolio management efforts.
  • Act as Key Account Manager for major clients or delegate as needed.
  • Drive, develop, and energize the BU sales team; manage around 15 to 20 sales professionals.
  • Monitor market trends and competitive landscape and adjust sales strategy accordingly.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D, Product Management, Marketing, and Business Development.
  • Contribute to product and service evolution through market feedback.
  • Enhance continuous improvement in productivity, reliability, and transparency.
  • Implement IT/ERP tools to enhance sales effectiveness.
  • Uphold quality standards and enhance internal processes.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in international sales leadership and sales teams management in electrical equipment manufacturing or industrial B2B environments, with complex technical products.
  • Excellent track record in sales growth.
  • Technical degree in electrical engineering or in power electronics, ideally combined with additional commercial education.
  • Strong knowledge of at least one of the following industry sectors: high voltage, medium voltage, railway traction systems, power transmission & distribution, renewable energy and e-mobility.
  • Excellent team management skills that empower the team.
  • Strong technical acumen and ability to engage with cross-functional teams.
  • Natural team motivator with a proactive, opportunity-driven mindset.
  • Comfortable with frequent travel (Up to 60% of the time) and direct client engagement.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop convincing communication strategies based on technical rationale.
  • Interest and ability to understand DC and AC power systems and corresponding product needs.
  • Excellent project management, organizational and problem-solving skills.
