About the role

Responsibilities
- Assist in the month-end general ledger closing process and be responsible for preparing journal entries
- Assist with the preparation of labor corrections for research projects
- Assist with helping reconcile various reports involving projects, funds, and cost centers for accuracy and completeness
- Process historical corrections submitted by various departments for percent allocation and labor cost transfers
- Process cost transfer requests from the Office of Research Administration (ORA)
- Act as a liaison for various departments within Finance
- Support Principal Investigators (PI’s) and their research staff by researching questions and addressing cost transfer forms
- Provide guidance to various departments in understanding financial reports
- Assist with wire and check identification and daily cash deposit process
Requirements
- One (1) plus years of experience in accounting.
- Solid grasp of Excel (MS suite), spreadsheets, and presentation development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
