About the role
- Work across backend and frontend systems to scale and modernise applications
- Develop Python backend services and APIs running on GCP Kubernetes
- Build and maintain frontend components using Angular
- Containerise applications with Docker and manage orchestration with Kubernetes
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation (GitHub, Terraform)
- Collaborate within small, cross-functional delivery teams to deliver incremental handovers and metric-driven reporting
- Contribute to client-facing programmes and accelerate client capability through platforms and services
Requirements
- Strong experience with Python backend development (APIs, microservices, application frameworks)
- Proficiency with modern frontend frameworks (Angular preferred)
- Experience working with cloud platforms (GCP preferred; AWS/Azure also relevant)
- Containerisation & orchestration: Kubernetes, Docker
- Strong CI/CD exposure: GitHub, Terraform, automated pipelines
- Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g. Bigtable, Hive)
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, or stream-aligned team models)
- Nice to have: experience with predictive analytics / big data processing
- Familiarity with Atlassian stack (Jira, Confluence) and collaboration tools (Miro, Google Docs, Slack)
- Knowledge of test automation strategies and CI/CD quality control tooling
- Previous experience contributing to communities of practice or giving technical talks
