About the role
- Financial Systems Analyst II responsible for developing Empyrean data structures and recommending strategic opportunities. Collaborating with finance management to enhance efficiency and financial position.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing and maintaining the data structure of the Empyrean Dataverse and Empyrean Reporting module
- Identifies business and strategic opportunities and makes recommendations to management to improve efficiency, cash flow and/or long-range financial position
- Manages and ensures documentation of data flow to external systems from core
- Recommends strategies for efficiency improvements and develops confidence in reporting systems
- Ensures accuracy and completeness of data input by balancing to core system
- Analyzes complex business issues, incorporating company and industry knowledge, mathematical and technological expertise, and sound analytical processes
- Conducts statistical analysis, modeling, and other quantitative techniques
- Prepares hierarchical data within the Empyrean Dataverse that is aligned across all Empyrean modules
- Prepares and analyzes statistical and financial reports, financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Recommends changes to established policies/procedures in alignment with data analysis.
Requirements
- Three or more years experience working with financial systems or models
- Financial services industry experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data, Finance, or Economics is required, or an equivalent combination of education, training, experience, or military experience
- A Master’s degree could be substituted for experience
- Experience with Empyrean or other financial related software is preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
- SQL knowledge is required.
