Responsibilities
- Build and lead the finance function within a rapidly growing business
- Take ownership of day-to-day financial operations, statutory compliance, internal controls and management reporting
- Support strategic decision-making
- Work closely with engineering, operations and commercial teams to provide financial insight on projects, grants, and manufacturing scale-up plans
- Shape processes in a fast-changing environment
Requirements
- Qualification in accounting (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- 3+ years experience in a Financial Controller or senior accounting role, ideally in a growth-stage, engineering, or manufacturing business
- Solid technical accounting knowledge, with experience across management accounts, audits, tax, R&D credits and grant compliance
- Proven ability to implement controls, policies and systems to support scale-up operations
- Strong communication skills and confidence presenting to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Proactive mindset, analytical approach and hands-on attitude
