About the role

  • Bilanzbuchhalter managing financial records and reports at an international recycling company. Responsible for financial statements, tax compliance and working with auditors.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain general ledger and subsidiary ledgers
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and IFRS
  • Perform intercompany reconciliations
  • Prepare for and support external audits by auditors
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations in cooperation with tax advisors
  • Contribute to the development of planning and control metrics as well as the internal control system
  • Serve as the subject-matter contact for employees, group companies and the parent company

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or certified Bilanzbuchhalter (IHK)
  • At least 3 years' professional experience in financial reporting within an industrial company or as an audit assistant in public accounting
  • Strong knowledge of HGB and basic knowledge of IFRS
  • Independent and reliable working style
  • Fluent German and good English skills
  • Confident user of standard Microsoft Office applications
