About the role

Responsibilities
- Lead all India based financial operations
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger management
- Lead end-to-end payroll operations ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with statutory requirements such as PF, TDS, and ESIC
- Drive direct and indirect tax filings, reconciliations, and statutory submissions while maintaining compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
- Manage consultants, auditors, and liaise with regulatory authorities
- Manage audit readiness and coordinate internal and external audits to ensure timely completion and transparent documentation
- Implement and maintain robust internal financial controls, oversee vendor management, and ensure efficient handling of payments and reimbursements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare financial forecasts, budgets, and long-term projections
- Conduct financial modeling, variance analyses, industry analysis to deliver data-driven insights to support strategic business decisions
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations
- Collaborate with HR and People Ops to align payroll processes with company policies and reporting standards
- Provide business operation and administrative support
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting (MBA preferred)
- 4–8 years of experience in finance, accounting, and payroll management at a leading firm
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, taxation, and statutory compliance
- Proven experience with financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and accounting software (e.g., Netsuite or similar)
- Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally
