About the role
- Senior Underwriter for Energy Oil & Gas accounts at Zurich. Serving as Subject Matter Expert while collaborating with brokers and maintaining relationships.
Responsibilities
- Handle complex new and renewal domestic Energy Oil & Gas and Power Gen accounts
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in Underwriting Team
- Administer and monitor underwriting rules and guidelines
- Develop and maintain relationships with distributors (agents & brokers)
- Support sales culture by being a Help Point for agents, brokers, and customers
- Proactively seek renewal and new account opportunities
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5+ years of Underwriting or Market Facing experience OR 10+ years in Claims or Underwriting Support
- Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and 3+ years of Underwriting or 8+ years in Claims or Underwriting Support
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Energy Oil, Gas & Power Gen Underwriting
- Established broker relationships in the New York region
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
