Management of the entire product lifecycle including change management, prototyping, testing and documentation
Ensuring cost, performance and schedule targets (e.g., Design for Excellence, DFMEA)
Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and leading related initiatives
Collaboration & innovation
Close cooperation with Sales, Service, Product and Project Management to resolve technical challenges
Collaboration with engineering teams in Baltimore and India to implement best practices
Proactive identification and prevention of potential customer issues to reduce warranty exposure
Requirements
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or a related field
At least 5 years of leadership experience in a technical environment (team size >10)
Experience with multi-site and international teams, ideally within a matrix organization
Solid experience in new product introduction and Stage-Gate processes
Desirable: confident use of modern CAD and control systems (e.g., Siemens NX, SolidWorks, Zuken E3.series)
Strategic thinker with strong organizational skills and excellent communication abilities
High level of personal responsibility, innovation orientation and customer focus
Business-fluent German and English and willingness to travel
