Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team focused on enterprise customer requirements, nurturing engineers and building team capability.
- Be hands-on in technical execution: reviewing code, contributing to backend development, and making architectural decisions.
- Drive delivery of backend-heavy, security-focused projects that meet enterprise-grade standards of reliability, security, and compliance.
- Establish structure and stability in a fast-paced environment, balancing rapid iteration with process-driven enterprise delivery.
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Solutions, and Sales to scope and deliver critical features for enterprise adoption and retention.
- Manage complex stakeholder relationships with global enterprise clients, ensuring alignment across multiple teams.
- Define and track metrics that demonstrate enterprise success, from adoption rates to delivery quality.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading enterprise SaaS projects, ideally in backend-heavy, security-focused environments.
- Strong technical background in APIs, integrations, and cloud infrastructure (AWS Node.js/Python; REST/GraphQL).
- Hands-on engineering skills; you still enjoy coding, reviewing code, and setting technical direction.
- 3+ years of people management experience
- Exceptional organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and communicate effectively with both clients and internal leadership.
- Ability to thrive in dual modes: fast-paced iterative environments and structured enterprise delivery.
