About the role

  • Developer II focusing on Intelligent Automation tasks at Emerson, collaborating on various functional team projects.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage Microsoft Power Platform and other tools, including but not limited to Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, Dataflows, and RPA tools.
  • Work on project-based assignments in small and large teams to deliver automated processes.
  • Design, develop, and implement custom solutions for the automation of existing or new processes.
  • Implement the full life cycle of an automation solution: identify automation opportunities, gather requirements, develop, test, and deploy automation solutions using advanced automation tools.
  • Troubleshoot and fix major bugs/defects and assist junior developers in making sure issues/requests are resolved appropriately and on time.
  • Introduce and test new technologies to continuously improve the technical capabilities of the team relating to automation tools.
  • Work closely with the production support team to deploy into production, complete required documentation, including lessons learned, and implement knowledge transfer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or similar.
  • 3-4 years of relevant work experience in the software development field, tools, and process automation.
  • Proficient in automation tools and platforms (e.g., Power Platform - PowerBI, PowerApps, PowerAutomate), including Office 365 applications (Flow, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams).
  • Deep knowledge of Integrated Administrative and Productivity Tools.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting and response experience.
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and project management methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
