About the role
- Mechanical Engineer for developing mechanical components and assemblies for specialized labeling machines at Bluhm Weber Group. Collaboration across teams to ensure cost-effective production and operation.
Responsibilities
- Design and development of mechanical components and assemblies for special machines in the labeling sector
- Close collaboration with team members from electrical, control, software and project engineering
- Support the entire development process from concept through design to commissioning
- Support components/assemblies/series machines during ongoing production
- Creation of technical drawings, bills of materials (BOMs) and documentation in CAD and PDM systems
- Support during commissioning as well as troubleshooting and fault rectification on the machines
- Participation in the optimization of existing machines and processes.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or a comparable qualification (e.g., certified technician)
- Several years of experience in machine or plant design — ideally in special machine construction
- Confident user of CAD systems (preferably Autodesk Inventor) and PDM/PLM systems
- Familiarity with relevant standards, guidelines and design methods
- Practical knowledge of manufacturing technologies and assembly processes
- Good understanding of control technology and process flows in automated systems
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
- Independent yet team-oriented working style.
