About the role

  • Control Tower Specialist ensuring end-to-end management of international shipments at DMS Logistics. Engaging with customs agents and optimizing logistics performance metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Guarantee end-to-end management of international shipments, from diligencing to post-shipment activities, ensuring adherence to special customs regimes such as Repetro and Law No. 8.032;
  • Conduct technical cargo analyses for consolidation, assessing NCM compatibility, customs regime, and material type to optimize logistics and meet contractual deadlines;
  • Work collaboratively with customs brokers and tax departments to manage tariff classification, document approval, and release for DI and DUIMP filings, ensuring regulatory compliance;
  • Keep systems updated with status information, readiness dates, collections, releases, and clearance details, ensuring full visibility of the flow;
  • Monitor and analyze performance indicators (OTIF), identify causes of deviations, and implement corrective action plans;
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency in platforms such as FollowNet and Power BI;
  • Coordinate communications with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers, ensuring smooth documentation flow, deadline compliance, and international process compliance;
  • Support leadership in preparing executive reports, dashboards, and performance presentations, consolidating operational data and strategic indicators;
  • Operate with a critical mindset and focus on continuous improvement, proposing optimizations and automations that increase efficiency and standardization of Control Tower processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Logistics, International Relations, or related fields;
  • Intermediate to advanced English – will be tested;
  • Experience in import and export operations with end-to-end oversight (diligencing, pre-shipment, and post-shipment);
  • Knowledge of special customs regimes;
  • Experience managing documentation and approvals for DI and DUIMP filings with customs brokers;
  • Experience in cargo analysis for consolidation, tariff classification, and contract deadline control;
  • Proficiency in logistics performance indicators (OTIF, lead time, transit time) and experience using monitoring tools.
