About the role
- Consultant delivering timely VAT advice as part of Ryan’s VAT Consulting team. Supervising junior colleagues and maintaining client relationships in an international context.
Responsibilities
- Deliver timely, accurate and practical international VAT advice and assistance to clients
- Prepare advice to clients, supervising work delegated to junior colleagues
- Organise workloads and prioritise issues with junior colleagues
- Provide regular feedback to junior colleagues
- Participate in calls and meetings with clients
- Maintain close relationships with existing clients
- Liaise with third parties, including tax authorities and suppliers
- Write articles to be published on the company’s website or external journals
- Research changes to legislation and administrative practice
- Prepare client fee quotes and client invoices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree / Master’s degree in Law, Management or Economics
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Professional experience of at least 3 years in a VAT advisory role, preferably with an international/cross-border focus
- Knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research.
