About the role
- HVR Commercial Analyst supporting commercial hydrocarbon reporting and entitlements processes for Mauritania & Senegal Region. Collaborating with internal teams and supporting finance managers with data analysis.
Responsibilities
- Support the Mauritania & Senegal Region on a day to day basis with the execution of commercial hydrocarbon reporting and entitlements processes
- Support the wider Mauritania & Senegal Finance Teams and the central HVR team working on value-add projects across Production & Operations
- Liaise directly with multiple parties, external and internal including cross function (Tax, Reservoir Development, Production and Operations and Trading & Shipping)
- Support Finance Managers with external JV meetings/reporting and data or analysis as required for negotiations
Requirements
- Degree level education or equivalent experience in STEM or commercial subjects, or equivalent industry experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to engage effectively as part of a team, absorbing new areas quickly and comfortable working autonomously
- Strong communication skills - able to communicate and coordinate across a broad spectrum of technical and non-technical work groups
- Interpret and analyse data with the ability to draw out insights
- Previous HVR or allocation experience (either within finance or other functions)
- Experience of using EnergySys
- Previous finance, commercial and/or accounting experience
