Chief Design Engineer for connectivity working with Ponsse's R&D team in Finland. Managing scrum teams to evaluate software quality and oversee product ownership in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
Manage backlog, prioritize tasks and write specifications for backlog items.
Ensure that the scrum team understands targets and organizes sprint planning and refinements.
Evaluate the implementation quality and technical readiness according to set requirements.
Work in an Agile environment and continuously refine priorities, define milestones and deliverables.
Collaborate and communicate with stakeholders and customers across the organization in line with Ponsse's values.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in automation, software engineering or a related field.
Relevant experience in engineering roles, preferable in field of non-road mobile machines, connectivity or edge computing.
Deep technical knowledge of software engineering and understanding of the software development life cycle process.
Strong leadership and management skills are essential – ability to motivate teams to achieve project goals.
Excellent communication skills both verbally and written in English and Finnish.
Considered to be an advantage: Understanding of modern programming languages and development frameworks.
Understanding of Linux.
C++, Python and Rust programming languages.
Containerization, Virtualization and DigitalTwin principles.
Ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams & external partners and troubleshoot and resolve system issues effectively.
Proactive, technically skilled, and take initiative.
Strong problem-solving skills and work effectively in a diverse team and see solutions rather than problems.
