About the role

  • Business Unit Controller at EP Power Minerals collaborating on financial strategies and operational controlling. Responsible for analyses, forecasts, and supporting management decisions in Dinslaken.

Responsibilities

  • Close collaboration with the management of business units, subsidiaries, and affiliated companies, providing analyses as well as concrete recommendations and supporting their implementation
  • Responsibility for operational planning, forecasts, projections, and variance analyses with a focus on efficiency, profitability, and sustainable growth
  • Creating transparency in production controlling regarding cost structures, processes, and optimization potential along the value chain
  • Developing and enhancing controlling structures and establishing efficient subsidiary controlling processes
  • Analyzing and commenting on business and financial performance, including cash flow; preparing business cases, investment proposals, and profitability analyses
  • Commercial evaluation of contracts, contribution margin and profitability analyses as a basis for decision-making
  • Contributing to monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with HGB, IFRS, and local GAAP
  • Active involvement in building a modern controlling system and in the implementation and further development of SAP S/4HANA public cloud and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
  • Supporting sales strategies and market development through analysis of revenue, pricing, and cost effects of global activities
  • Acting as an interface between operational units, group controlling, and management in all business-related matters

Requirements

  • Degree in business administration, economics, or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience in operational controlling, ideally with a focus on production and sales controlling in an industrial environment
  • Knowledge of internal and external accounting (HGB, IFRS) desirable
  • Proficiency in MS Office and SAP S/4HANA; experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and BI tools (e.g., Analysis for Office) is an advantage
  • Excellent English skills, both written and spoken
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills combined with strategic thinking
  • High level of initiative, accountability, and resilience
  • Strong communication and persuasion skills when working with management and stakeholders
  • Team orientation, flexibility, and cultural openness in an international environment
