About the role

Responsibilities
- Advance the state of the art in AI and/or biological sciences, particularly in areas such as structural biology, protein engineering, and de novo design.
- Develop and optimize AI models for protein design and drug development.
- Build and maintain data pipelines, training workflows, and evaluation tools.
- Integrate structural and sequence data into modeling frameworks.
- Collaborate across teams to translate research ideas into high-quality, deployable code and models.
- Ensure reproducibility, performance, and scalability of implemented solutions.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related field (PhD a plus).
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, JAX, TensorFlow).
- Understanding of protein structures and sequence data, ideally with PDB, AlphaFold, or Rosetta.
- Experience with machine learning for biological applications or generative modeling (e.g., diffusion, transformers, VAEs).
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills in interdisciplinary teams.
- Experience in protein design / structure modeling (desirable).
- Familiarity with structural biology tools (e.g., PyMOL, Biopython).
- Prior experience in AI research projects for biology or large-scale model training (desirable).
