Provide bilingual, culturally informed ongoing outpatient clinical services (individual and/or family psychotherapy) to adults, adolescents, and/or children
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address family issues, behavior patterns, and other personal issues
Using various techniques, collect information and data about clients to determine the best use of treatment options
Participate in walk-in screening and assessments within a walk-in clinic model
Maintain and submit accurate and timely documentation of clinical services provided, progress notes, recommendations, and lists of any recommended therapeutic activities
Complete timely and accurate billing notes
Confer with other counselors, doctors, staff members, and other professionals to analyze individual cases and coordinate any counseling services, including referrals to other specialists
Create and maintain positive relationships with social service providers, other counselors, assistants, and community leaders
Contribute to the clinical team’s knowledge base of emerging and changing best practices to best meet our client population
Engage in learning opportunities through “La Mesita,” El Futuro’s training platform and network of bilingual providers in North Carolina.
Requirements
Master’s degree (or higher) in a field directly related to behavioral mental health care and treatment
must be eligible to practice as a licensed mental health provider in North Carolina
Minimum 2 years of experience providing mental health treatment to a diverse community, in particular with the Spanish-speaking community
Clinical experience with adults; experience with children preferred
Training in trauma-informed practices preferred
Fluency in spoken Spanish
Must also be able to read and communicate with clients in written Spanish
Must be able to document clinical encounters in English.
