About the role
- Backend Developer specializing in PHP and Symfony for cloud-based hotel software. Involved in backend service development, complex process modeling, and cloud infrastructure expansion.
Responsibilities
- Develop scalable backend services based on Symfony (PHP)
- Model complex, database-driven processes
- Work on technical planning and proof-of-concept implementations
- Refactor and further develop existing modules
- Contribute to the expansion of our DevOps and cloud infrastructure
Requirements
- Team player with initiative and an eye for quality
- Independent, structured working style with strong abstraction skills
- Strong willingness to learn
- Understanding of technical design, architecture, and Clean Code principles
- Several years of practical experience in PHP development with Symfony (career changers from other languages or frameworks are welcome!)
- Strong database knowledge (preferably MySQL or MariaDB)
- Experience working with legacy code; experience with PHP QA tools such as PHPStan, Rector, etc. is a plus
- Ideally, experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with agile methodologies such as Scrum is desirable
- Very good German skills (C1) and intermediate English skills (B1)
