About the role
- Design, develop, and maintain features of the Anthology Ally product
- Improve digital course content accessibility through inclusivity, sustainability, and automation
- Communicate and partner cross-functionally with product and software development teams
- Work on backend code (Scala) and frontend JavaScript/Angular
- Run applications in AWS cloud and use Git for version control
- Collaborate with a distributed team across global locations
Requirements
- 0-2 years of relevant professional experience
- Frontend development experience in Angular/TypeScript
- Familiarity with the full-cycle development process
- Experience developing, building, testing, deploying, and operating applications
- Experience working with cloud technologies
- Awareness of how distributed systems work
- Experience with backend programming languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Python, etc.)
- Knowledge of relational database design and querying concepts
- Willingness to break things and make them work again
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Preferred: Functional programming experience such as Haskell or Scala
- Preferred: Familiarity with working with AWS cloud technologies
