About the role
- Design, program, test, implement and document complex computing applications in Java/J2EE technologies
- Lead analysis of end user processes to define application requirements
- Write and compile complex and routine code based on documented design
- Construct routine database objects and modify or upgrade applications to maintain software functionality
- Identify and resolve complex programming or application architecture problems and recommend improvements
- Provide assistance to design, program and execute test plans
- Implement, document and maintain routine computing applications and software
- Assist in gathering and evaluating end user requirements and developing user training
- Collaborate within a team of skilled and motivated co-workers to deliver software solutions supporting engineering/manufacturing teams
Requirements
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in the IT industry
- Proven track record of developing enterprise level responsive Java applications and developing back-end services
- Write production grade reusable components, debug and optimize existing codebase
- Systems Thinking - Ability to understand the big picture and inter-relationships between components
- Analytical Skills - collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations
- Experience of working in ‘Agile’ environment
- Experience in GIT configuration management and Azure DevOps Tool suite
- Experience with Web fundamentals like HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
- Hands-on experience in developing responsive web applications using Angular/Knockout JS
- Hands-on experience in Java 17, Spring boot, Spring data JPA and Spring Security
- Experience in developing and testing and hosting RestFul web services
- Experience in CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) operations
- Experience with SQL Database
- Experience in Angular 17+, Node, JQuery, Web server technologies like J2EE
- Experience in ALM tools (GitLab, Jira, TFS) and Docker, Kubernetes
- Working knowledge on Azure from a developer’s perspective
- Bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred (not required)
- Development experience on Cloud (Azure is preferred)
- Experience on e2e framework (Cypress is preferred), and testing frameworks like Junit, Mokito
