About the role

  • Advise and represent clients at coroner’s inquests in healthcare sector
  • Support clients in responding to investigations by regulators
  • Work closely with NHS Trusts, private healthcare providers, indemnifiers and insurers
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis
  • Draft and review legal documents
  • Liaise with clients, medical professionals, and experts
  • Attend court hearings, mediations, and negotiations
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Healthcare Team

Requirements

  • 5+ years PQE in healthcare regulatory, disciplinary and inquest work
  • Knowledge and experience working with regulators such as the GMC, GDC, GOC, NMC, and HCPC
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills
  • Ability to manage high-volume and complex caseload
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in using legal research tools and software
  • High level of professionalism and integrity
  • Experience supervising more junior team members
