About the role

  • Serve as the Facilities Management Engineering Center of Excellence (COE) leader for facility engineering, infrastructure assessments, and capital planning
  • Develop standardized global processes for facility and infrastructure assessments and create site-level facility condition indices (FCIs)
  • Utilize assessment data to prioritize operating and capital investments
  • Collaborate with regional Facilities Management delivery teams to understand needs and priorities
  • Provide training and support for standardized processes
  • Create asset management and capital planning solutions with prioritization matrices
  • Assist in development of strategic facility and infrastructure master plans
  • Partner with FM/Small and Major Project Delivery teams to standardize project design, execution, and transition/closure processes
  • Serve as change champion leveraging RTX’s CORE operating system to drive continuous improvement
  • Develop and oversee SME team to create design and performance specifications for MEP/FP and BAS
  • Partner with EHS and Energy/Sustainability teams on building management systems strategy, protocols, metering and reporting
  • Serve as ES Real Estate FM liaison with production to minimize risk and support manufacturing
  • Implement sustainable practices to improve environmental impact and reduce operational costs
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and partner with EHS and Compliance when developing standards
  • Travel as required (approximately 20-30%)

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • Eligible candidates must reside in the continental United States
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Business, Finance or related field and 12 years’ experience OR advanced degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Business, Finance or related field and 10 years’ experience
  • At least 10 years’ experience with building infrastructure systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, automation)
  • At least 10 years prior experience with development and sustainment of technical specifications and guidelines program for a global organization
  • At least 10 years prior experience developing standard facilities condition and infrastructure assessments and prioritizing, planning and advocating for site operational and capital needs
  • At least 10 years prior experience partnering with production leads to provide efficient, sustainable and reliable infrastructure which supports manufacturing
  • At least 10 years’ experience in developing a global team, program and implementation model
  • Travel expectation: 20-30%
  • Fluent in MS Office suite
  • Preferred: Corporate Real Estate experience
  • Preferred: Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) and/or advanced degree
  • Documented success leading large, complex, global teams
