About the role

  • Build AI-powered features that leverage large language models to transform the running experience for users worldwide
  • Work closely with engineering, product and coaching teams to build components that use LLMs to interpret, generate and personalise training insights
  • Build conversational interfaces, knowledge-based reasoning and dynamic content generation systems
  • Work across full stack of applied LLM engineering: prompt design, model evaluation, orchestration, deployment and iteration
  • Design and refine prompt strategies and RAG pipelines to ensure grounded, accurate and context-aware outputs
  • Collaborate with coaches to translate deep training knowledge into scalable intelligent systems
  • Apply data-driven and experimental approaches to model development, evaluation and continuous improvement, including automated and human-feedback evaluation frameworks
  • Experiment in production (e.g., A/B tests) to ensure high quality outcomes
  • Write clean, well-tested Python code and contribute to backend systems supporting model orchestration, inference and user-facing integration

Requirements

  • Solid experience designing and building AI powered systems and working with LLMs in production
  • Proficiency in Python (object oriented) programming and writing production quality code
  • Experience testing code to ensure maintainable, scalable solutions
  • Analytical and detail-oriented with commitment to high-quality work
  • Pragmatic mindset with excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with iterative development, continuous deployment and test automation
  • Experience with knowledge sharing, pair programming, collaborative design & development
  • Shared code ownership & cross-functional team experience
  • Bonus: understanding of deployment, release cycles or CI/CD
  • Bonus: exposure to delivering features end-to-end from architecture to release and support
  • Bonus: experience with serverless and event driven architectures
  • Bonus: cloud experience, ideally AWS
  • Bonus: interest in health/fitness technologies
  • Bonus: some TypeScript experience
