About the role

  • Perform valuation and reporting of Group liabilities for Group Insurance.
  • Support the financial reporting process for GAAP and STAT valuation basis.
  • Contribute to ALM and AAT processes.
  • Develop, program, and test actuarial models.
  • Create tools and new approaches to understand drivers of financial results.
  • Produce liability cash flow projections for several uses.
  • Work closely with business partners to support the business and strategy.
  • Develop understanding of how team results impact overall Group Insurance business and strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or related field.
  • Passage of one or more Society of Actuaries exams and working towards ASA designation.
  • Strong technical skills (Microsoft Excel, Access, Power BI etc.).
  • Highly motivated, well organized, and detail orientated.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Actuarial internship or relevant experience preferred.
  • Programming experience in any computer language preferred but not required (e.g. Python, R, SQL, Visual Basic, C++, etc.).
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment with recurring on-site presence as determined by the business.
