About the role
- Accounts Payable Associate overseeing invoices and payments, with interaction in French. Working full-time in a hybrid model from Iasi, Romania.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of routine and some non-routine clerical and accounting functions within the Accounting department including:
- Key data into automated systems and verify input.
- Process, verify and audit invoices, expense reports, journal entries, purchase orders, etc.
- Post journal entries to general ledgers and sub-ledgers.
- Liaise with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable to forecast payments and collections.
- Interact with colleagues located in France.
- Reviewing and processing vendor invoices for accuracy, and contacting suppliers directly if discrepancies are identified.
- Providing support to suppliers regarding invoice payment status and addressing any related inquiries.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Possesses good verbal and written communication skills in English (B1 upwards) and French (B2 upwards)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting / Finance.
- Has 1–2 years’ experience in Accounting or a related field.
- Experience with SAP is essential.
- Demonstrates strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Is proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with strong Excel and database management abilities.
