Accountant responsible for financial reporting and analysis within a finance team for a leading electrical wholesaler. Supporting month - end processes and providing financial insights across operations.
Responsibilities
- You will take largely sole responsibility for the entire accounting process
- You will handle accounts receivable and accounts payable, invoicing, invoice verification and entry using DATEV
- You will independently manage travel expense reporting, payment transactions and the dunning process
- You will prepare monthly and annual financial statements in cooperation with the tax advisor
- You will act as the liaison to Controlling and the tax advisor
- You are responsible for account reconciliation, account clarification and maintenance as well as general accounting tasks
- You will actively contribute to process optimization, projects and the further development of your area of responsibility
Requirements
- Successfully completed commercial training or a degree with a focus on accounting/tax, or a comparable qualification
- Relevant professional experience in accounting
- Solid experience with annual financial statements
- Good knowledge of standard financial and accounting IT systems, including DATEV
- Good command of the MS Office suite
- Independent, structured and conscientious working style
- Quick comprehension, team orientation, strong communication skills and a high level of interpersonal competence
- A personable and confident demeanor
