About the role
- Head of E&S Property managing underwriting execution and strategy for Zurich North America's E&S division. Coordinate with wholesale partners to drive profitability and growth.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the strategy and management of Zurich E&S’s property division
- Engaging with wholesale partner’s property brokerage leadership teams
- Overseeing property underwriting execution and quality
- Managing product offerings and overall E&S Property Division profitability
- Collaborating within Zurich E&S and the broader Zurich North America enterprise
- Working closely with Zurich E&S’s Head of Wholesale Distribution in wholesale producer engagement
- Working closely with the Zurich E&S Chief Underwriting Officer on underwriting authority, quality reviews, guidelines and portfolio management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 12 or more years of relevant Underwriting or Market Facing or Broker or Carrier or Risk Management experience within the Commercial Insurance industry
- 5 or more years of management experience
- Prior E&S Property experience
- Experience in managing property underwriters in the surplus lines industry
- Strong portfolio management skills
- Excellent management skills, including underwriter coaching, performance management and mentoring
- Expertise interpreting and developing property products
- Knowledge of property pricing methodologies and market benchmarks
- Expertise in catastrophe risk models
