Senior Business Performance Actuary working with Zurich North America Finance & Actuarial teams on financial reporting and performance monitoring. Identifying performance gaps and enhancing reporting processes.
Responsibilities
Development of top-down financial models to accelerate business steering by enabling better understanding of financial implications from changes in business and economic drives
Identify reasons for variances between actual and expected (forecasted or planned) KPIs, identify trends or other seasonal effects that will improve the quality of forecasting/planning processes
Cooperate with local and Group Finance teams on delivery of Close, Forecast and Plan submissions as part of the Zurich regular financial reporting process
Communicate complex financial results in a clear, concise manner to relevant stakeholders
Requirements
Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Actuarial Science or Mathematics
8+ years of experience in Actuarial Reserving, Pricing, Financial Planning and Reporting or Financial Accounting
Strong understanding of P&C Insurance fundamentals; financial and actuarial literacy is important
IFOA, CFA or other local Actuarial or Finance certification is an advantage
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, especially the ability to clearly explain outcomes of your work
Strong skills in task prioritization and time management
Strong data management, analytical and financial reporting skills
