ME Welding Engineer leading continuous improvement activities in welding processes for automotive manufacturing. Responsible for robotic welding parameters and optimization in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
Lead continuous improvement activities for production to improve productivity and quality.
Robot teaching and maintain welding parameters for production (in case of any change) & new projects.
Ensure stable welding process with good quality.
Cooperate with Regional IE to complete machine concept, layout.
To be involved with new equipment procurement and pre/final acceptance and receive from Regional IE after SOP.
Acting as welding project leader at plant.
Lead optimization of welding process parameter by statistical method for higher capability of process.
Support maintenance activity to reduce downtime rate.
Maintenance and update documentations like PFMEA, WI, changeover, mistake proofing and so on with the initiative from Regional IE.
Support tooling/fixture/spare parts maintenance and insurance.
Requirements
Bachelor degree or above in welding subject or mechanical engineering.
Min. 5 years’ solid experience in MAG welding process as process engineer in automotive industry.
Good experience in MAG welding, resistance welding process, pressing, mistake-proofing and tool/fixture design.
Special Knowledge: Robot teaching, welding parameter adjustment (Panasonic).
Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, Auto CAD, Minitab, SAP.
Excellent writing and speaking ability in English.
