Responsibilities
Drive production performance: Maintain and improve production line efficiency while leading hands on problem solving activities.
Build stable, high performing processes: Plan, test, and support the implementation of preventative actions that ensure safe, high quality, cost effective, and reliable production operations.
Shape process improvements: Manage non critical production process changes in partnership with product engineering, assembly engineering, and systems support.
Solve complex quality challenges: Investigate issues with non conforming parts and recommend effective, long term solutions.
Be a key player in corrective actions: Support 8D investigations and other corrective action processes stemming from audits, quality reviews, or customer feedback.
Establish clear standards: Develop and maintain reject criteria, teardown procedures, and related documentation to strengthen process consistency.
Own continuous improvement activities: Track PDCA items tied to production fallout and partner with task owners to ensure timely progress and closure.
Lead plant level engineering initiatives: Coordinate product and assembly engineering tasks or projects to drive improvement across the manufacturing operation.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering
Preferably 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and genuine mechanical curiosity.
Demonstrated interpersonal, project management, and technical skills, along with a strong work ethic.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD software.
Basic understanding of GD&T principles.
Awareness or training related to TS16949 (IATF 16949) quality standards.
Must be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without the need for sponsorship.
