About the role

• Product Engineer at Zanders turning product ideas into working software for financial consulting. Collaborating with Product Owners and specialists to ensure successful implementation.

Responsibilities

• As a Product Engineer, you are the hands-on builder who turns product ideas into working software
• Work closely with Product Owners and domain specialists to understand what a feature needs to achieve — and then translate that directly into a near-final, working implementation; ready for refinement by the wider engineering team
• You are the technical bridge between concept and code, reducing handovers, shortening feedback loops, and ensuring we build the right thing from the start
• Supported by our established engineering team and review processes, operate with a high degree of autonomy while contributing to our architectural and development standards
• Work in an AI-first way: using modern AI tools across refinement, prototyping, development, testing, and documentation — and knowing when to rely on your own critical engineering judgment.

Requirements

• 4 to 8 years of experience in software development, technical consulting, or a hybrid business–technology role
• Solid hands-on development experience (preferably in Python/FastAPI and Typescript/React) with the ability to independently implement production-ready features
• Strong understanding of software development principles, testing practices, code review processes and version control
• Proven ability to translate business needs into clear acceptance criteria and pragmatic technical solutions
• Affinity with or experience in financial domains such as treasury, banking, corporate finance, risk management, or fintech
• Comfortable using modern AI tools to accelerate prototyping, development, validation, testing, and documentation; with the critical thinking to ensure quality
• Strong problem solving skills, with the ability to balance speed and long-term maintainability
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
