About the role
- Electrical Engineer I providing electrical engineering design support for challenging projects in the Power/Energy and Industrial Markets at Zachry Group. Collaborating with senior engineers and project teams in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Responsibilities
- Apply general electrical engineering design practices while working with a Lead Engineer for guidance and detailed supervision.
- Perform non-routine and complex assignments involving assigned task with assistance from Senior Engineers as required.
- Select and adapt plans, techniques, designs, and coordinate the work with the project team members for successful design.
- Review, analyze, and integrate the technical requirements and design approaches for the project.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from a 4 year ABET accredited college.
- Must be able to understand and comply with company policies, procedures, and processes.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface with Senior Company Leadership.
- Must be organized, self-directed, able to prioritize and multi-task, work in a team environment and take direction from others.
- Willingness to travel and work in office and field environments as necessary.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
- EIT Certificate or ability to get a Professional Engineering License once experience requirements are met.
- Electrical Engineer with prior experience on Engineer, Procure and Construct type projects.
- 1-2 years of electrical engineering design experience.
- Experience with OTI ETAP software (or similar software) for Electrical Power System Analysis.
- Self-motivated Engineer that thrives on challenging tasks and has ambition to lead small teams or projects.
